About Me

Originally from Canada, Tanya Brown is a full time contemporary artist living and working in Australia and Canada.  Graduating from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, NS she headed 'out West' to seek her fame and fortune.  In Calgary, Tanya worked for 10 years in the field of Psychology.  In 1988, she traded in her career in Psychology to major in printmaking and drawing at the Alberta College of Art. After nurturing two children and travelling the globe she immigrated with her family to Western Australia in 2000.  Tanya became an Australian Citizen in 2006 and now holds dual Citizenship.

When there is no Worldwide Pandemic raging, Tanya travels back and forth between the two continents each year adapting her studio practice to her life’s circumstances.  In Canada, she works from her purpose built new studio in the Columbia Valley surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and the odd bear.  In Australia, she sets up a mobile studio in some pretty awesome home rentals and belongs to an active art community of professional artists (Just10Contemporary Artists). 

Tanya has exhibited extensively and her work is enjoyed in numerous corporate and private collections in Canada, Australia, USA , South America and UK.
